Boeing data leaked
Boeing was hit with a cyberattack by Lockbit late in October. The ransomware group claimed to have stolen 43 GB of sensitive information and threatened to leak the information online if the ransom was not paid. Boeing chose not to give into the hackers’ demands and Lockbit proceeded to leak the information in mid-Novmeber, which appears to be configuration backups for IT management software, and monitoring logs.
Staples Hack
Office supply retailer Staples suffered a cyber-attack that forced the company to shut down some of its systems last week. Several of its internal operations and online orders were temporarily disrupted, but this was necessary to help contain the attack.
Over 20,000 Vulnerable Exchange Servers Online
The ShadowServer Foundation, a nonprofit security organization, discovered there are over 20,000 Microsoft Exchange email servers across Europe, the US, and Asia are ready to be hacked. These systems are running out of date versions of Exchange, some versions over 10 years old, that have known vulnerabilities that can be exploited. It is not clear who is hosting these servers, but any companies utilizing these servers very vulnerable to cyber-attacks from threat actors.
