10 Million French Exposed
French agency ANAH suffered a data breach last week, exposing data of 10 million individuals. ANAH provides financial support for home improvement to low-income households. This appears to be part of the massive MOVEit breach and exposed individuals’ names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, social security, and bank details. Investigations are underway as affected individuals have been notified and were warned to be on the lookout for phishing and identity theft.
Kroll Data Breach Hits Crypto Firms
Financial advisory firm Kroll suffered a data breach exposing bankruptcy claimants’ data from crypto firms FTX, BlockFi, and Genesis. A SIM-swapping attack targeted a Kroll employee’s T-Mobile account, granting access to sensitive files. FTX and BlockFi state that non-sensitive customer data was compromised, but some clients have reported phishing attempts have occurred post-breach. Kroll contained the incident and confirmed there is no evidence any of their other systems were compromised.
CloudNordic Paralyzed by Ransomware Attack
CloudNordic was hit with a ransomware attack that crippled all systems, leading to a severe impact on its clients. Since the Danish hosting company refused the ransom demands, and their data recovery efforts failed, it led to a complete loss of information for customers. This includes all customer data, websites and emails the hosting platform held for customers.
