Linus Tech Tips Hacked
The YouTube channel with 15 million subscribers was hacked by threat actors who tried to use it to promote a crypto scam. Linus Tech Tips was taken down by YouTube, just before the Linus Media Group was able to regain control of the account. Spear phishing was the cause of the breach, as a channel employee opened an email that contained malware disguised as a PDF file.
Ferrari hit by Ransomware
The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer disclosed they fell victim to a ransomware attack last week. Personal information for customers was exposed, but no payment information was leaked. Operations of the company were unaffected as the attack was limited to a few internal systems.
Cl0p ransomware hits Procter & Gamble
Cl0p ransomware exploited the Fortra GoAnywhere vulnerability again, this time Procter & Gamble was the victim. Some employee information was compromised in the attack, but it did not include SSN or ID numbers. No customer data was accessed, nor were business operations affected.
