Flagstar Bank Breach
The Michigan-based bank disclosed that its systems were compromised in December 2021 and the personal information of more than 1.5 million of its customers was exposed. There hasn’t been any indication that the information has been misused so far, but the bank is offering 2 years of free credit monitoring for affected customers.
Yodel hit with Cyber Attack
The delivery company Yodel confirmed it suffered a cyber incident last week, which caused significant business disruptions. Yodel has not confirmed details on the attack, but based on how their tracking and customer systems suddenly went down, a ransomware attack is suspected.
Automotive Supply Chain Attacks
TB Kawashima (whose parent organization is Toyota Boshoku), and Nishin both had one of their subsidiary companies hit with cyber attacks last week. Both businesses that supply automotive parts suffered ransomware attacks, Lockbit has taken credit for the attack on TB Kawashima, but Nishin’s attackers are unknown.
