Rockstar hacked by 17 y/o
Development footage and source code of Grand Theft Auto 6 were leaked onto GTAForums. Rockstar confirmed the legitimacy of the content when they disclosed an unauthorized party accessed and downloaded confidential information from their systems. Since then, the UK police arrested a 17 y/o from Oxfordshire in connection with the attack. The UK police are receiving assistance from the FBI with the investigation.
2K Games Hacked
2K Games is warning customers not to click on emails coming from 2K Support, as the support platform was compromised by an unauthorized actor who used it to send emails with malicious links to customers. Any potentially affected customers should change their passwords and enable 2FA if they haven’t already.
American Airlines Breach
The airline disclosed that a threat actor was able to access its Microsoft 365 email system, view the contents of various mailboxes and send out phishing emails to customers. The breach also exposed the personal information of 1,708 employees and customers, therefore the company will offer them free credit monitoring for 2 years.
