Lockbit Claims Attack on SpaceX Vendor
The Lockbit Ransomware group proclaimed they hacked Maximum Industries, a fabricator of rocket parts for SpaceX. Lockbit taunted Elon Musk on its data leak website, saying they will find buyers for the 3,000 SpaceX certified drawings, who will build faster rockets than him. Neither Maximum Industries nor SpaceX has confirmed the validity of the breach claims.
Rubrik Zero-Day Breach
Cybersecurity company Rubrik revealed there was an unauthorized access to its test environment by hackers that exploited a vulnerability in devices using a file transfer tool called Fortra GoAnywhere. The company’s quick response to the zero-day exploit prevented a breach of its internal system, which only resulted in the theft of non-sensitive data. Cl0p ransomware group took responsibility for the attack on Rubrik and posted stolen data on the dark web.
LockBit hits Essendant
The wholesale distributor of office supplies suffered a ransomware attack that disrupted its operations early in March. The company is still in the process of recovering its systems after the attack, as law enforcement assists in investigating the attack. LockBit Ransomware claimed responsibility for the attack and posted the stolen data to their leak site. Essendant has not confirmed the scope of the data that was taken.
