18 y/o Hacks Uber
Uber confirmed it suffered a cyberattack last week that compromised its internal systems. The hacker used social engineering techniques to gain access to the network, and then posted screenshots of various systems online as proof. Law enforcement agencies are assisting the company with the incident.
Cyberattack at Starbucks
Starbucks Singapore’s mobile ordering platform was hit with a cyberattack attack. The company sent correspondence to customers notifying them that their personal information was stolen in the attack, but no financial information was accessed. The threat actor is selling the stolen information for the 220 thousand customers online.
Hive Hits Bell
The Hive ransomware group attacked the Canadian company, Bell Technical Solutions, with a ransomware attack. The attack affected the company’s internal systems and website, which led to the theft of customers’ personal information. BTS is working with law enforcement on the incident, while Hive has posted the stolen information for sale on their forum.
