LifeLock Breach
Norton’s password manager LifeLock suffered a breach last December. The company discovered an unauthorized third party on their systems that likely was able to login to customer accounts and view the passwords in their vaults. Norton believes the credentials used to login to these accounts were obtained via the dark web, and advised customers to reset their passwords.
Royal Mail Hacked
The UK’s biggest mail delivery service was hacked by Lockbit ransomware. The ransomware attack caused severe service disruption to its international delivery services. Details about what data may have been stolen were not provided, but Roya Mail is working with a cybersecurity firm to investigate the attack.
Firefighters Hacked
Australia’s Fire Rescue Victoria was hit with a ransomware attack by Vice Society. Despite disrupting its IT systems, firefighting responses have not been affected. However, the personal information of employees and contractors was compromised in the attack and those affected have been warned to be vigilant against phishing attacks and identity theft.
