Transport for London Hacked
London’s transportation authority confirmed it suffered a cyberattack that has prevented its staff from performing some customer service duties. Despite these issues, the transport network remains fully operational. The incident is being investigated, but so far, it does not appear that any customer information has been compromised.
Planned Parenthood Attacked
The New York-based nonprofit organization confirmed it was the victim of a ransomware attack. The RansomHub ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and claims to have stolen 93GB of information from the organization. The FBI is assisting with the investigation, but there are no indications yet whether the ransom will be paid.
Halliburton Hit
Oil and gas giant Halliburton was also hit by a ransomware attack from RansomHub. The attack severely impacted business operations, and the company confirmed that sensitive information was accessed. Mandiant, a cybersecurity firm, is assisting with the investigation.
