Caricom Breach
The Caribbean Community Secretariat confirmed last week that its systems were hit with a cyberattack, which disrupted the CARICOM website and other online applications. Details of the breach and what information was exposed are unknown, as the website is currently still down.
Nissan Cyberattack
Nissan Oceania advised customers that it suffered a cyberattack, which has caused some disruptions to some dealer systems. The company that services Australia and New Zealand is currently investigating the attack but has advised customers to be careful of potential scams as there is a risk their personal information may have been exposed during the attack.
Navy Contractor Hacked
Austal USA confirmed it was hit with a cyberattack, but it has not caused any disruption to its operations. The company that provides ships for the U.S. Department of Defense is investigating the attack with the help of the FBI and confirmed no personal or classified information was exposed during the attack. Hunters International, a ransomware group, has taken credit for the attack and has begun to leak the stolen information on the dark web.
