Courts Cyber Attack
Unicomer Barbados informed its customers that its online platform was hit with a cyber-attack in September, and they are working to remediate the incident. Customers’ personal data, such as names, addresses, emails, and more were exposed during the attack, however, no credit card data was leaked. Customers were warned they were at higher risk for identity theft due to the attack, but credit monitoring services were not offered in the breach notification.
Flagstar Bank’s Third Breach
Flagstar Bank disclosed that personal data for over 8,000 customers was stolen due to a breach at Fiserv, a third-party service provider. The breach is part of the widespread CLOP MOVEit Transfer data theft attacks. The stolen data includes names and Social Security Numbers. This is Flagstar’s third breach since March 2021.
Air Europa Data Breach
Spain’s third-largest airline, Air Europa, suffered a data breach exposing customers’ credit card information. The airline advised affected customers to cancel their cards due to potential fraudulent use from the threat actors. The company experienced a similar breach in 2021 which affected nearly 500,000 customers, which also exposed their credit card information.
