5.8 Million Patients Exposed in Hack
PharMerica, a pharmacy services provider, was hit by a data breach affecting 5.8 million patients. Threat actors gained access to sensitive medical information, including names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, medications, and health insurance details. The breach occurred in early March, but those affected were only notified in May. The ransomware group, Money Message, claimed responsibility and published the stolen data on its hacking forum on the dark web.
LACROIX Battles Ransomware Attack
The international technological equipment manufacturer fell victim to a targeted ransomware attack on its sites in France, Germany, and Tunisia. Immediate security measures were implemented and investigations are underway to determine what data was exposed and encrypted in the attack. The affected sites will remain closed as they safely recover from the incident.
Ransom Deadline Looms
Bizland’s prescription drug sales system, Farmalink, was targeted in a ransomware attack by Lockbit. The ransomware group imposed a one-month deadline for ransom negotiation before releasing the stolen data. Bizland maintains that no sensitive data was compromised during the attack and has lodged a complaint with the authorities.
