Jamaica’s PM Office hit by Cyberattack
The Office of the Prime Minister in Jamaica suffered a cyberattack last week. No details about the nature of the attack were provided, or what data may have been exposed. The OPM did assure the public that they are working to protect the personal information of their staff and stakeholders.
FBI Cyber Incident
The FBI detected malicious activity on its network, seemingly targeting a computer used in investigations of child sexual exploitation. The agency is investigating the incident and has confirmed that the attack has been contained.
GoDaddy Targeted
The web hosting giant, GoDaddy, says it was targeted by a sophisticated threat actor group that compromised its network multiple times over the last few years. They believe breaches in 2020, 2021, and the most recent in 2022 are all linked. In 2022, the threat actors stole source code and installed malware on the company’s servers. Cybersecurity experts and law enforcement are assisting GoDaddy, to identify the source of the attacks.
