Flying Blue Breach
The Flying Blue loyalty program detected suspicious activity on their systems which led to account breaches for their customers. The program is associated which various airlines, including Air France and KLM, who notified their customers that their personal information was exposed as a result of the breach. Flying Blue did confirm that no miles were charged from customers’ loyal accounts, as they were able to quickly remediate the breach.
QUT Hacked
Queensland University of Technology in Australia suffered a ransomware attack. The university disclosed that its operations will be impacted for weeks as they attempt to stop the spread and remediate the attack. The Royal ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack, and stole quite a bit of data from the institution, such as emails, documents and IDs cards.
Toyota Data Breach
Toyota India disclosed that a data breach at one of Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s service providers may have exposed customer information. Companies are exposed to risks from their service providers as attacks on service providers can damage their reputation and compromise company data.
